What is the Economically Weaker Section (EWS)?
EWS Admission is the process of admission in private schools for children of the Economically Weaker Section (EWS).
The registration process for admission under the EWS quota in private schools in Delhi has started. The last date to apply for admission is 19 February. Admission will be free through a lucky draw.

Visit the official website of the Directorate of Education, Delhi https://edistrict.delhigovt.nic.in/.
Click on the EWS/DG/Freeship Admissions tab given on the home page.
Now click on the link Admission Application Form 2025-26.
Register and fill out the form.
Upload documents and submit.
Parents registering for admission will not have to pay any fee. Admission will be done under RTE Act. According to the notification issued by the Directorate of Education, Delhi, 75% seats in top private schools of Delhi like Delhi Public School, Dwarka Sector 3, Shivani Public Senior Secondary School, Nangloi, Indraprastha International School Sector-10, Dwarka, Vikas Bharti Public School, Rohini, Vishal Bharti Secondary School, Saraswati Vihar, Pitampura, GD Goenka Public School Mundka Delhi are for general admission. In comparison, 25% of seats are reserved for EWS/DG/CWSN categories.
There are many people who live in the border areas of Delhi and want to take advantage of this scheme, but due to not being in Delhi, they are not able to take advantage of this scheme. So if you are planning to shift to Delhi, then West Delhi can be of your list, especially in areas of West Delhi like Dwarka Mor, Nawada, and Uttam Nagar West, the property rates are quite affordable in these areas.
